Resting Catches

In special cases, mosquitoes are actively sought and collected with portable aspirators.

These are operations carried out in closed environments, for example, following the identification of a site at risk near an area that has tested positive for the presence of a specific virus transmissible by mosquito bites.

These tools are also used to verify the presence of mosquitoes in aircraft cabins from countries or regions where these invasive species are present, or epidemics of vector diseases in progress, which are absent in Piedmont.
